What is physical abuse?

Physical abuse is a form of violence that involves the intentional infliction of harm or injury upon another person’s body. It can take various forms, including hitting, punching, kicking, slapping, and other actions that cause physical pain or injury. Physical abuse often occurs within personal relationships, such as intimate partnerships or familial dynamics, and it can have devastating effects on both the victim’s physical and emotional well-being.

The scars left behind by physical abuse are not always visible, but they can run deep, affecting every aspect of a person’s life. Victims of physical abuse may experience fear, shame, and helplessness, and they may struggle with trauma-related symptoms such as depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Help is always at hand though. Please reach out to me for an initial chat.
